Voter Integrity Update

Regardless of the outcome of this election, this year's race highlights the importance of election integrity. To restore faith in the outcomes, our legislators in Raleigh need to know that their constituents want transparency and integrity put back into the election process.

Please help by calling or writing our Republican leaders in the NC state legislature and requesting that they demand an audit of this election in order to uncover any fraud or irregularities that may have occurred. Documenting these occurrences is the first step in tightening laws to ensure this doesn't happen again in future elections. You may read the letter sent on behalf of the OCGOP here.

Update on Race for Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court

NCGOP announces Paul Newby Secures Votes to Win Chief Justice.

[UPDATE: 11/10/20]

Thank You Volunteers!

To all of you outstanding patriots who helped OCGOP and pushed the Conservative message in the 2020 elections, thank you for supporting a great cause for President Trump, Senator Tillis, Dan Forest, Mark Robinson, Justice Paul Newby, our Supreme Court Justices and Judges, and all the conservative candidates.

Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated in a tough Orange County politically charged environment. We are grateful to have your dedicated help at our voting sites and manning the headquarters.

The 2021 and 2022 future political campaigns are just ahead, as Senator Burr is retiring in 2022, and the NC Supreme Court, the NC Legislature and Orange County Commissioners positions are all coming up.

Note to Absentee Mail-In Voters

If you voted by absentee mail-in ballot, please go to this link and check the status of your ballot under the "Your Absentee Ballot" section of that page.

If you find that your ballot needs "curing" (fixing), you have until 5PM this Thursday, Nov 12, to correct it for your vote to count. If you are unsure or have any questions, contact the Orange County Board of Elections directly at 919-245-2350 to be sure your vote is counted. If you live in Durham County, you need to call the Durham County Board of Elections at 919-560-0700.

Sign Pick-Up

Thank you to all the tireless volunteers who put out yard signs for our candidates! This is a reminder that NC election law requires that campaign signs placed on public rights-of-way must be removed within 10 days after Election Day. Therefore, if you placed any signs on public roadways, please remove (and discard or recycle) them by this Friday.

Signs may be taken to the Orange County Recycling Center on Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill, or any of the recycling drop-off sites; go to the Orange County Solid Waste Management page for locations.

Thank you!

Voter Integrity

It's been one week since Election Day and NC still does NOT have final voter results tabulated. The longer this time period is drawn out, the greater the potential for votes being corrupted, as is being witnessed in other key states.

The NC State Board of Elections will not update individual voters' records until after each county's Board of Elections certifies the remaining absentee ballots on November 12 at 5PM. At this point, it will be too late for a voter to challenge any problems with his/her respective ballot. For additional information, read this statement issued by the NC GOP expressing their concerns.

The NC elections are too close to call for President, Senator Tillis, and Justice Paul Newby. Every legal vote across North Carolina counts. There are 95,000 absentee ballots and 40,766 provisional ballots outstanding, and Justice Paul Newby is hanging on to a slim 2083 vote lead for Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court. As of this writing, Thom Tillis is ahead by 95,290 votes, fewer than the number of ballots outstanding and critical to keeping the Republican majority in the US Senate. [UPDATE: 11/11/20 Senator Tillis' race has been called. Congratulations, Senator Tillis!]

[UPDATE: 11/9/20]

Phone Bank Update

We have completed all the call lists we have at this time, so further phone bank sessions are cancelled.  Thank you to those who volunteered!

[UPDATE: 11/8/20]

Phone Bank to Cure Absentee Ballots

The NC elections are too close to call for President, Senator Tillis, and Justice Paul Newby. Every vote across North Carolina counts. There are 95,000 absentee ballots and 40,766 provisional ballots outstanding, and Justice Paul Newby is hanging on to a slim 2617 vote lead for Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court. As of this writing, Thom Tillis is ahead by 95,739 votes, fewer than the number of ballots outstanding and critical to keeping the Republican majority in the US Senate.

We need your HELP to make calls on Monday, Nov 9, and Tuesday, Nov 10, to Conservative voters whose absentee or provisional ballots require a "cure" (fixing) at their respective Boards of Election.

We are looking for 8-10 people who can volunteer either from 10am - 12 noon or 5 - 8pm to make critical calls to our voters advising them on the process to correct their ballots with the Board of Elections before the 5pm deadline on November 12.

Examples of issues that people need to cure include a voter not signing a cure letter from the Board of Elections, an absentee ballot missing a witness signature or address, among other items. A script will be provided for volunteers to use when making calls.

We are planning two sessions daily from 10am - 12 noon and 5 - 8pm at OCGOP Headquarters in Hillsborough. Click the button below to sign up for a slot.

All the votes we can get count for our candidates. Don't take anything for granted.
