Want to learn about being a Poll Observer?
The goal of Poll Observers is to ensure a fair and open election by observing the voting process inside the polling place. If you can volunteer a few hours of your time to be a poll observer during Early Voting or on Election Day, you can do your part to help protect the vote and safeguard election integrity.
If you are new to poll observing, or just need a refresher, both virtual and in-person training options are available as follows:
- The NC Election Integrity Teams (NCEIT) offers Zoom training sessions online. Click on this link for schedule information, sign in as a member, and join one of the Zoom training sessions that fits your schedule. Training sessions are offered weekly on Wednesdays at 11AM and Thursdays at 7PM. The last online session will be held Wednesday, Oct 16, at 11AM.
- Alternatively, in-person training will be offered at the OCGOP headquarters on Wednesday, Oct 16, at 6:30PM. If you plan to attend, please RSVP in the box at right so we can ensure an adequate supply of materials.
Ready to sign up for a shift? Visit our Volunteer SignUp page and click on the SignUp Genius links to volunteer for a slot (or two!) during Early Voting or on Election Day (or both!).
