There is a American Humanitarian, Security and Infectious Disease (like Tuberculosis, active and latent) Crisis taking place at the US and Mexican Border. This is an operational emergency and unsustainable. 8 of 10 Americans according to a new poll by Washington Post/ABC News and a Pew Survey believe the Border is a serious problem and needs to be fixed.
Presently the population of people in America who are here illegally is estimated at upwards to 20 million people.
As a country, the US has not effectively reformed our admission system in the past 50 years. The US currently has only 650 miles of border wall existing along the 1,300 mile border. The self-destructive immigration politics, our legal system and abuse of asylum loopholes must be reassessed and addressed by Congress NOW.

Waddy Davis and Dr. Laura Gutman are especially well qualified to have participated in this thoughtful and informative interview.  Waddy, in addition to being the Chairman of the Orange County Republicans, served for many years as a U.S. Army Special Operations commander dealing with large scale tactical and logistical matters in combat.  Dr. Laura Gutman is a physician and expert in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and former member of the Duke University Medical Center Faculty with a record of research, teaching and practice as long as your arm.
