Two Sets Of Books
Two Sets of Books -
Growing up in a family business, you never really have family time, with the family. Any gathering I went to after I started working in the company at age 14, always turned into a business meeting of sorts. Pressing customer service questions, changes in the way we did things, delinquent customers collections among other issues. It still goes on the same way today.
In business, the best way to get in trouble in an audit is to get caught with two sets of books. One set for the accountant, and another to keep up your backdoor deals. My advice to you, don’t do it.
Another Orange County citizen put it like this in his stump speeches for President: John Edwards said there are two Americas. I thought it was one America where Edwards could afford a $1,250 haircut, and I was trying to get one for five bucks. But Edwards was right for the wrong reason. We do live in two Americas. But I have a feeling it is an America where we have a two-tiered justice system. One America that if you are the President’s son, Hunter Biden, they allow the statute of limitations to run out, the IRS doesn't look for your earnings from foreign countries, and forgives back taxes. That if you leave a laptop in the wrong place, the FBI will put it under the rug, and your art is worth $1.5 million. I see the other America, where if you are a Conservative Republican, things don’t go your way. You get locked up without due process for J6 protesters. Your bank account is frozen because you supported the wrong political candidate. And of course, if you are the former Republican President, then they throw any lawsuit at you that they can. Last week we saw what happens.
