A Little Defense

A Little Defense

Football season is around the corner. I've been to games from Junior High to the Pro's. NCSU Football during my Freshman year of college was up and down. The first game I attended at NC State was against ECU at Carter-Finley Stadium, and they won. In the last game of the season, State could go to a bowl game if they could beat Miami, in Coral Gables, otherwise Coach Monte Kiffin would lose his job. It was a Hurricane blowout, and NCSU began the rebuilding process. Football is not an easy game, though when the pieces fall together, it looks easy.

Politics and Football have many similarities. 1) There are Winners and Losers. 2) A great Quarterback can make a big difference, as does a President, for those around him. 3) No matter what the pundits and pollsters say, it depends on what happens on the field and on Election Day. 4) The game is not over until the whistle sounds, and the last vote is counted. 5) The Referee/Voters have the final word.

To me, I see the Referee's having a hard time in this game. For years President Joe Biden has said concerning his age, let the American People decide. He has said time after time that his age is not important. That he is capable of doing the most important job in the world. His age and cognitive abilities are not the issue. Those defending him say, "He is sharp," and "A great President." His press secretary says so everyday.  Yet at the June 27th Debate on CNN, the American people saw the President not look Presidential. A debate that the Biden's team engineered to their advantage. No better home team than the rules they laid out. And yet for their tactfulness, Joe failed miserably.

Now those who have help hide the Presidents Football injury (his inability to govern), are beginning to own up to his true physical condition. Many in the Media are owning up to the cover-up, though will never own up to their own culpability. Members of Congress are owning up to it. Major Left-Wing donors are even calling for another Quarterback to led their team, and the Polling is coming in showing Biden falling behind more. Trump has never had this big of a lead.

*** A side note here, shame on NC Democrats and the NCSBE for not allowing an even playing field after a June 26th, 2024 hearing. By throwing out the The We the People Party, Justice For All Party, and Constitution Party of North Carolina, they are doing all they can to re-elect Joe Biden. Thankfully Jim Jordan and the House Republican's are asking questions about this. ***

The problem for the Democrats is they are stuck. They have a late Convention in Chicago. Their nominee will not give their acceptance speech until August 22nd, 2024. Trump will give his speech on July 18th, 2024 in Milwaukee, only gaining in the polls. After the RNC, the populous will be watching the Olympics in Paris. In between Trump will have thousands at his Rally's, and Joe will have his hundreds. All that time for voters to be steaming about Old Joe fumbling his words, and wearing out his defense.

Too bad the major issues of the world don't just happen between 10am and 4pm.
