In North Carolina, 2022 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022. During this election, voters will select their choices for Federal, State and Local Offices.

- 2022 Election Statewide Dates and Deadlines -

 

Friday, September 9th, 2022: County Board of Elections begin mailing absentee ballots to eligible voters who submitted an absentee ballot request form. NC General Statue §163-227.10

Friday Oct. 14, 2022: Civilian voter registration deadline ends at 5:00pm.  After this point, only same-day registration during one-stop early voting is available.

Thursday, October 20th, 2022: One-stop, in-person early voting period begins.

2022 Early Voting Schedule

Tuesday, November 1st, 2022: Deadline for civilians to submit an absentee ballot request for the 2022 General Election ends at 5:00pm. NC General Statue §163-230.1

Saturday, November 5th, 2022: One-stop, in-person early voting period ends at 3 p.m. -

Tuesday, November 8th, 2022: Election Day for the 2022 and civilian ballot return deadline. Election polls are open statewide from 6:30am to 7:30pm. NC General Statue §163-1

Friday, November 18th, 2022 at 11:00am: Orange County Board of Elections Canvass meeting for 2022 General Election - NC General Statue §163-182.5
