Below is the Orange County NC Republican Party Sample Ballot.
Ballot Styles - There are 2 different ballot styles available in Orange County, and this Sample Ballot combines the most important information needed for Conservatives to decide on candidates.
B0001 - NC House District 50 - Northern Orange County
B0002 - NC House District 56 - Chapel Hill/Carrboro
The only difference between the two ballot styles is the race for NC House of Representatives. Voters residing in District 50 have one candidate, Democrat Renee Price, on the ballot. Voters residing in District 56 will have two candidates on the ballot: Matthew Clements (Libertarian Party) and Allen Buansi (Democratic Party).
Amendments - VOTE FOR - Orange County GOP supports all three Constitutional Amendments on the ballot this year:
- Constitutional amendment to require all voters, not just those presenting to vote in person, to present photo identification before voting.
- Constitutional amendment to keep the State income tax rate from being raised higher than three and one-half percent (3.5%).
- Constitutional amendment requiring limits on property tax increases by local governments.
