Executive Committee Meeting
Join us for our next quarterly Executive Committee meeting. All Executive Committee members are strongly encouraged to attend so we can meet quorum!
WHO: OCGOP Officers and Precinct Chairs
WHAT: OCGOP Executive Committee Meeting
WHEN: Tuesday, June 23, 6:30 PM (Doors open at 6:00 PM) [Note: This has been rescheduled from its original date of June 16.]
WHERE: OCGOP Headquarters, 125 Boone Square St, Hillsborough
Doors open at 6:00 PM. We will have pizza and soft drinks available; the meeting will begin PROMPTLY at 6:30 PM.
NOTE: This is a Tuesday evening meeting, in contrast to our usual Thursday meetings.
This will be a working meeting to discuss our Get-Out-The-Vote plan for the upcoming election season. This plan will include phone banking, door knocking, as well as a few new tactics, so precinct chairs should come prepared with their precinct binders.
Anyone with items for discussion they would like to add to the agenda should submit them to the OCGOP Secretary at [email protected] by Tuesday, June 16. The final agenda will be distributed to participants shortly before the meeting.
Who is on the Executive Committee? The OCGOP Plan of Organization lays out the structure of our organization and other administrative details related to day-to-day operations.
Specifically, the Executive Committee is comprised of the following voting members:
- OCGOP officers: Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer
- OCGOP past chairs
- All current precinct chairs
In the event a precinct chair is unable to attend, another precinct officer may attend and vote as that precinct's proxy.
We look forward to seeing you there!

We still need leadership in a number of precincts! If you are interested in serving as a precinct chair and being part of the Executive Committee, or want to learn more about it, please let Chairman Larry Smith know by emailing him at [email protected].
Precincts with open chair positions include the following: Carr, Carrboro, Coker Hills, Coles Store, Damascus, Dogwood Acres, Eastside, Eno, Estes Hills, Glenwood, Hillsborough, Hogan Farms, Kings Mill, Northside, OWASA, Patterson, Ridgefield, Tolars, Town Hall, UNC, Weaver Dairy.
Plus, we are looking for reinforcements in Cheeks and Grady Brown.
