Have you ever considered working in elections?
Election officials are an integral part of free and fair elections. Bipartisan balance at the polls ensures the integrity of the election and fosters voter confidence in the outcome. We need your help to balance the scales in Orange County!
Voters are needed to serve as Chief Judges, Judges, and Assistants on Election Day and during Early Voting. Election officials are appointed by the county Board of Elections for two-year terms and are paid by the county (in contrast to poll observers who serve as volunteers on an individual-election basis).
If you are interested in working as an election official, please complete the online form below no later than Tuesday, July 15, 2025. You will be contacted to confirm your interest and answer any questions you may have before your name is submitted to the county Board of Elections for consideration.
Even if you have served in the past, please sign up using the online Election Official Interest Form so that we can submit your name to the Orange County Board of Elections and ensure you will be considered for the new 2025-27 election cycle.

Not certain if you are ready to commit? Please join us for an information session to learn more!
We will talk about the role of election officials and their importance to election integrity, the requirements for serving, and the process to be selected. Current judges will be on-hand to share their experiences and answer questions.
Please come and bring a friend!
