Veteran's Day Remembrance
Wednesday 11 November is the 75th Anniversary of WWII. This Veteran's Day we honor all men and women who served in the five branches of the military (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard) for our country. President Trump inaugurated the newly formed Space Force this year, inspiring what the future holds.
Veterans see serving our country as a privilege, and are some of the most active volunteers strengthening their communities while being advocates of the 2nd Amendment.
Orange County will host a celebration at the recent Veteran's Memorial site next to the Seymour Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, on November 11 at 11AM. Masks and social distancing expected.
Following the ceremony members of the American Legion Chapel Hill will meet at the former location on Legion Road and caravan to the new Post site (3700 NC-54, Chapel Hill) using Rosemary Street.
Let a veteran know they are appreciated for having served in American Armed Services NOT just today but every day.
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY, and remember that American veterans embody the ideals upon which America was founded 244 years ago.
